As a non-profit organisation, Dog Rescue Auktsjaur depends on both financial and material donations. Our work is only possible thanks to the support of people who share our values and want to give dogs a real chance.
Every donation directly helps to provide our dogs with safety, care, and a stable future.
Funds raised so far:
Thanks to your incredible support, we have raised CHF 20,000 for Dog Rescue Auktsjaur. These donations have been specifically used to build our infrastructure.
With this support, we were able to fence approximately 5,000 m² of land, purchase several insulated dog houses, and complete our existing dog house with two heated indoor rooms and the associated outdoor runs.
These investments form the foundation for a safe, species-appropriate, and long-term home for our dogs.

For the continued development and care of the dogs, we remain dependent on further support.
Current needs & outlook:
At present, we care for twelve household dogs, four dogs in the dog house, and four active dogs in the outdoor area. Ongoing costs for food, care, veterinary visits, and daily support are a constant part of our work.
A significant portion of these costs relates to the health care of our dogs – including often underestimated dental care. Within just one and a half months, nine dogs required extensive dental treatments. In several cases, teeth had to be extracted to prevent pain, infections, and further complications.
These medical treatments have so far been covered privately, as available donations were not sufficient. However, they are an essential part of responsible animal welfare work.
Further medical procedures and diagnostics are currently needed:
Lori suffers from patellar luxation and requires surgery on both knees to live pain-free in the long term.
Henja also required emergency treatment and now needs further diagnostics, including an MRI, as her front legs are increasingly causing problems.
At the same time, we have already begun expanding our facilities. Two new warm and insulated dog rooms have already been completed.
As soon as the snow has melted, two additional kennels of 36 m² each will be built. In addition, a new run of approximately 6,000 m² is being prepared, where four large kennels are planned.
This expansion will allow us to provide a safe and species-appropriate environment for even more dogs in the future.
