The story behind the sweater – Moro

For over five years, Moro was untouchable. He responded to every approach with fear and defensive bites. No one knew how to help him—and yet it was clear that he desperately needed help.

 

Moro eventually came to me in Sweden via a foster home in Germany. There, an intensive period began: five weeks of rigorous training, including a muzzle and forced cuddling. Because one thing quickly became clear: time alone wouldn't have helped him.

 

It wasn't an easy phase, but a very emotional journey. But then the turning point happened: Moro opened up, trusted me—and we were finally able to take the next step.

 

His eye had been blind for some time and was repeatedly becoming severely inflamed. The cause remained unclear, but the only way to permanently restore his quality of life was to remove the eye.

 

After this surgery, something incredible happened: Moro took another giant leap in his confidence. Today, he runs across the meadows with the other dogs, plays happily—and actively seeks out people without defending himself by biting.
